So, I have been riding English my whole life. I wasn’t sure what I was going to think about going to a rodeo…it always bothered me how they tie up the horses undercarriage for fun (being the emotional animal person blah blah that i am) … But..once I got past that- it was AWESOME. It was so much fun watching all the extremely talented cowboys and cowgirls. The barrel racers were amazing, and they even had little kids who participated. It has convinced me to try western…maybe take some lessons! I would love to barrel race. It’s a whole different world than hunter riders. Its incredible how they incorporate their way of life into sport!
